Aaron Pico Gets Next Bellator Fight

Mixed martial arts super prospect Aaron Pico will have a second chance to impress and pick up his first win, as Bellator announced his next fight coming up in September.

Pico, who lost in his MMA debut at Bellator NYC to Zach Freeman in 24 seconds, will be slated to compete against Justin Linn on September 23rd in San Jose.

“The Mortal Sinn” Linn boasts a record of 7-3 on his career, but has lost his prior two bouts leading up to this match-up.  In April of 2016 he lost a unanimous decision to Cody Gibson at TWC 24, and before that it was a 1st round submission by current UFC fighter Matthew Lopez.

Pico, who signed a long-term deal with Bellator MMA in 2014, is a US National Champion in three styles of wrestling was said to have all the making of MMA’s next great superstar by Bellator boss Scott Coker.  The card is set to be headlined Benson Henderson facing Patricky Freire and also the debut of Roy Nelson for the promotion facing Javy Ayala.
