UFC 217 in New York City just got a little bit more exciting and gained another title fight.
Today the UFC announced that the return of one of their best pound-for-pound fighters would be returning to defend her title in the octagon for the November card. Joanna Jedrzejczyk will try to tie Ronda Rousey’s record for title defenses in the women’s ranks as she will face contender Rose Namajunas. “Thug” Namajunas gained the fight after winning four of her past five battles and besting Michelle Waterson in her last fight.
This fight will be just one of three scheduled title fights for the UFC as the MSG event will be headlined by the return of George St Pierre’s return to the octagon versus Michael Bisping, as well as a bantamweight title match-up between rivals TJ Dillashaw and Cody Garbrant.
